The POST SCHOLARSHIP CAREER PLAN (PSCP) is a critical component of your motivational letter / personal statement, as well as applications overall, but is often overlooked by scholarship applicants. The expressions used in this section are usually weak, because it is the least thought out by scholarship applicants. Many persons are only concerned about getting a scholarship and the benefit to themselves, but not necessarily the benefit to others i.e. community, nation or the globe. This can be seen as being very self centered by scholarship funders. Remember scholarships are seen like an investment, and so the scholarship funder expects a rate of return on their scholarship investment. This rate of return can relate to the scholarship applicant’s contribution to an organisation, a profession, a community or a nation.
